Senior Reserved Parking Fundraiser

Prior to registration, designate a number of prime parking spots as “Senior Reserved Parking.” As seniors register, they can place a bid on the parking spot they want, but inform them the spot will go to the highest bidder. Therefore, make sure the seniors list at least five spots they are interested in. If one spot is taken, they will be eligible for the next open spot on their list. At my school, we raised approximately $3,000 from senior reserved parking spots.

Things to do:

  1. Create a map of the parking lot

  2. Number the spaces that are available

  3. Have the seniors bid on the top 5 spots they want, listed in order of preference.

  4. Place bids in a locked container during registration

  5. Look at the bids and award spots.
