Principal of the School Leadership Activity

 

Objective:

 

Students will work in groups and come up with creative solutions to a problem.

 

Overview:

 

Break students up into groups of four. Tell each group that they are now the acting principal of the school. As the principal, they are allowed to identify one problem with the school and come up with solutions to solve the problem. Furthermore, each group will be given $100,000 to spend as they see fit to solve the problem. The students need to decide how to best spend their money and must take into account e small details when spending their money.

 

Activity:

  1. Students identify a problem.

  2. Brainstorm solutions for the problem.

  3. Students develop an action plan to solve problems and disperse monies.
