Goal Setting Leadership Activity
Objective:
Students will develop
a plan of action for reaching desired goals.
Overview:
-
Explain that a goal is a final destination. If someone was traveling from Los
Angeles to Miami, then reaching Miami would be the final goal.

Traveling from Los Angeles to Miami
is a goal that requires planning
and action.

Allow
students to brainstorm ideas regarding what would need to be done for someone to
travel from Los Angles to Miami.

The
suggestions the students come up with are actually specific action steps
needed to reach the goal.

Have the
students think about a goal they want to accomplish within the next month. Have
them write it down on a piece of paper and fill in the chart below. People
who write down goals are more likely to accomplish them.
