Prom is one of the largest, and most anticipated event your high school will hold. Whether you hire an event planner to do the job, or you and your prom committee assume the responsibility of planning it all, this guide will help assist you in making your prom an event that students will remember for years to come. Below are some articles that will cover all your prom questions, from selecting a perfect venue to developing an unforgettable prom theme. As you browse through our guide, please help us by sharing your own prom planning ideas and successful event stories.
Prom Committee
Without a prom committee, there would be no prom. The members of the committee are responsible for creating the perfect prom, from the site location to decorations. Whether the committee is comprised of class-appointed officers or volunteers, its members should be committed to months of hard work in order to produce and plan a successful prom that will be remembered for years to come. This section will help your student body organize a successful prom committee.
Prom Timeline

Prom Themes
Your prom theme is one of the most important, and first decisions your prom committee will make. Selecting a great prom theme that is going to guarantee a memorable event is a key component in producing an unforgettable prom.
Prom Fundraising
Your prom committee can develop various fundraisers to help off set the cost of prom tickets as well as increase your decorating budget.
Prom Venues
The type of facility you choose will affect almost every other decision you make in the prom planning process. This guide will help you find the perfect prom location.
Pre-Prom Promenade
If your students are required to take a bus to prom, then a pre prom promenade is a great event for you. Before students board the bus have them go down a red carpet in the gymnasium or center of campus. Invite parents and friends to attend. This is a perfect opportunity for parents to see their child and friends all dressed up, and gets younger siblings excited to attend their prom. If an event like this is too hectic to plan for you as prom advisor, ask your PTA or parent organization if they are willing to help.

Prom Fashion Show Magazine
A Prom Fashion Show is a fun way to show your students the latest fashion trends, and it is also a great way to illustrate appropriate attire for a school function. However, there is another way to do this other than fashion show. Many schools are starting to create their own personal Prom Fashion Magazines. For information on producing a successful prom fashion show magazine visit this section.
