Tug-A-War
Class Competition
By: Travis F, Bartlett High
School
Our pep rally for homecoming was one of the best because of one simple game:
Tug-a-War. First we started out with two ropes. Freshmen against Sophomores on
one rope, and Seniors and Juniors on the other. We had about 10-15 kids from
each class. For the first game, the freshmen beat the sophomores and the
seniors beat the juniors. So we narrowed it down to one rope which had the
seniors and freshmen going head to head. Surprisingly the freshmen won. Being
a senior of couse i was embarrassed but happy at the same time because this gave
the freshmen a boost of school spirit. Of course the entire school went wild
and we had some kids running down from the bleachers eager to represent their
class during the game, but everything was kept under control. We (student
government) later got word from the school staff that, that was one of the best,
and LOUDEST pep rallies they seen in years.
