Game Show
Pep Rally
Take a popular TV Game Show and create a rally around
it. These rallies generate a lot of excitement because
they deal with a lot of giveaway prizes and
competitions. Some great TV Game Shows
to possibly include
are:
-
“Let’s Make A Deal”- You need an entertaining host
and some cool gimmicks. Pre-select your rally
participants and have them participate for the
opportunity to win some prizes. These competitions
can include just about anything, but the more visual
the better. Always give your participants the
opportunity to keep the prize they won or trade it
in for the secret prize behind the curtain. The
prizes behind the curtain should be a mixture of
great prizes and some prizes that are
real duds.
-
“Family Feud”- Create families by having sports
teams compete against one another. For example, the
girls basketball team is one family that competes
against the boys basketball team. This is a great
way to have a Battle of the Sexes rally without
calling it Battle of the Sexes.
-
“Fear Factor”- A Fear Factor rally is a great
opportunity to do some really gross and messy class
competitions, but be sure everything you do is safe.
-
“ The Price is Right”- Collect prizes
and allow students to guess prices. The person who
guesses the correct price has an opportunity to
participate in activities to win more.
-
“Name That Tune”-
This is an oldie but goodie
that's easy to do.
