Extreme Makeover Themed Pep
Rally
Great rallies take tons of preparation, and the Extreme Makeover rally is
one that needs a little extra attention, but it is well worth it. First, you
must find willing participants. If possible, try to find two teachers who
are willing to be pampered and made over. Listed below are the steps
you need to follow for this rally:
-
Find a male and
female teacher. Tell them they are beautiful, and ASB wants to intensify
their beauty by giving them a makeover. You know the teachers to choose.
Maybe the one with the scruffy beard, or the one PE coach who is in
sweats all day. You want to choose teachers who will look strikingly
different after the makeover.
-
Get a video camera.
Nowadays most schools have video production classes with students who
can shoot and edit the footage. You want to videotape every step of the
process.
-
Get one of your ASB
students to take the teachers shopping for a new outfit.
Set a price
limit, but make sure you get footage of them trying on different
outfits.
-
Take them to a spa
where they can get a facial .(footage)
-
Take them to a hair
salon for a new look. The more dramatic change the teachers are willing
to take the better the reaction. (footage)
-
Make sure you took
“before” footage, as well.
-
Have your video
production class edit the footage
-
Show the video at
the rally
-
When the video is
over, have the teachers enter the gym arm in arm. The reaction of the
crowd is phenomenal.
To
keep the theme during the rally, you can have football players undergo a
makeover. Have students put makeup and wigs on them during the rally as an
activity.
